I love space-themed movies but the best cinema is just outside the entrance to the observatory.
To the east there are no towns, just wilderness and the sky reminded me of my visit to the Canary islands a few years ago.
In the photo you can see Orion rising, below it the brightest star Sirius and right above the cinema the orange planet Mars.
If you want to see what a real dark sky looks like, I recommend a visit!
